eTexathon(); is Granada Hills Charter High School's first ever hackathon event, in which students will make their very own e-textile product and gain valuable coding and designing skills in the process. Students will work in groups and be assisted by knowledgeable mentors as they learn how to design, create, and market their products.

ParticipantsParticipants should come with lots of enthusiasm and a willingness to learn, collaborate with others, and have fun!

MentorsMentors will help guide and assist participants in their product design and coding (in Arduino), and answer any questions as needed. Mentors who are not current Granada Hills Charter High School students may have to be cleared by the school about 2 weeks prior to the event.

Volunteers |
Judges will be expected to assess the participants' products on its creativity, originality, code, as well as give comments and feedback for students to make improvements in the future. Call time for all judges will be 4:00 PM, but they are welcome to attend the event earlier!

Volunteers will be expected to pass out materials, food, and swag bags during the event. They can also help with making event decorations, preparing materials before the event, and cleaning up after the event. Overall, volunteers will help ensure that the event is running smoothly and efficiently for everyone.
