COD4E was founded in September 2017 by Julie Chun and Desiree Wang, two International Baccalaureate (IB) students at Granada Hills Charter High School. With COD4E, our goal is to advocate for other high school students, especially women and people of color, to have equal opportunities in the field of computer science. We are dedicated to encouraging everyone with an interest in computer science to pursue their passion in this field.

Desiree W.Ever since I was young,I have always been a logical and mathematical person. Even in elementary school, I developed an interest and aptitude for math. Thus, it isn't surprising that I became interested in computer science and programming when I entered high school. I have had many opportunities in school to pursue my interest and develop my skills in this field; however, I know others are not as lucky as I have been. Therefore, I want to provide other people, regardless of gender, race, or background, with opportunities to learn how to code and program as well, and find their passion for computer science! |
